Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home, Inc. announces the transition of Mr. Erskine Banks.

Mr. Erskine Banks, a native son of the Frog Level Community in West Blocton, peacefully transitioned on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at home in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Mr. Banks is the dependable husband of Mrs. Tommie Foster Banks and the faithful Father of two sons, Eric B. Banks and Eldridge B. Banks.

Mr. Banks will be saluted in a Military Service at the ALABAMA NATIONAL CEMETERY in Montevallo, AL. This service will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Mr. Banks was employed by the Neighborhood Youth Corps, the Alabama Employment Service, and the Department of Industrial Relations in Montgomery, AL.
