FAYETTE Rev. Jesse Charleston Lomax ?CPSC.L.?i? 1/2i? 1/2 Cannon, age 80, of Fayette, died Jan. 23, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, Rev. Schmitt Moore, Pastor, with Rev. C.D. Moore officiating and Rev. Dr. Vernon Swift, eulogist. Burial will follow in Fayette Memorial Gardens with Van Hoose & Steele Funeral Home & Cremation Services directing. Viewing will be today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home and tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Unity Grove Baptist Church of Fayette. The body will lie in state two hours prior to services Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church.Pastor Cannon was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hughes Cannon; his daughter, Eleanor Fitzgerald Cannon; and five siblings.He has left to cherish his memories three sons, Sebastian Cannon (Sandra), Ryan Cannon, and Christopher Cannon (Nikki); four daughters, Linda Davis (Herman), Iris Robertson (Cedric), Alicia Nalls (Aaron), and Dr. Roxie Wells (Rev. Reginald); his foster daughter, Mae Ruth Cochran (Larry); 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.For 31 years, Pastor Cannon pastored the Hurricane Baptist Church in South Holt.The family will remain eternally thankful for his ceaseless love, unwavering support and Christian guidance. The family appreciates all acts of kindness shown at this time.
