Cammon, Pastor / OfficiatingFuneral services for Mrs. Rozine Rice Walton will be held on Saturday, November 10th at Ten a.m. at the Saint Peter AME Zion Church. Rev. Dr. Jeffery L. Cammon will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 12 noon Friday until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The remains of Mrs. Walton will lie in reposed at the church on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Professional services provided by Van Hoose and Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mrs. Walton wqill be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.Flower delivery hours Friday 9am until 5p.m. My Life Story 1920 - 2012 of Love and Inspiration Mrs. Walton was an offspring from the marriage of Field and Lula Rice. She was born September 6, 1920, in Greene County, Alabama. She was educated in Greene County, Alabama. She accepted Christ and received him as her personal Savior at an early age. She joined New Light Baptist Church in Greene County, Alabama and remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.Be it further known: She was united in Holy matrimony to Ed Walton, a wonderful husband, father and a great provider for 71 years until death separated them (June 21, 2011). Together they became the proud parents with a bond of Love to twelve children.In the days ahead when you think of her, please read one of her favorites scriptures, that I think describes her very well; Proverbs 31:10-31 Did you know in recent years her children relocated them to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where they lived among family and new friends. With her exceptional sense of humor and love she welcomed the move. Actually, to know her was to love her. She tried to be a devoted, loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mother in law and a friend to all she met.Be it resolved with tearful eyes we watched her go through trials and tribulations. Words can't express how much we appreciate your tender loving care. I know we will miss her, but know that ?CPSshe fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I kept the faith. (11Timothy 4:7). November 5, 2012, Jesus moved this old body from this earthly house of tabernacle to my new home; prepare to meet me in Paradise. She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings, parents, five children, and other loved ones.
